EVERYBODY
has sinned
(broken God's law)
|
|
What
is God's Law? |
|
|
Here are The
Ten Commandments... |
|
|
I. Thou shalt have no other
gods before me...
(
Only
worship and love the LORD God, ...talking about the LORD
God of the Bible - which is the triune Godhead: God the
Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
) |
|
|
II.
Thou shalt not make unto
thee any graven image...
(no
idols) |
|
|
III. Thou shalt
not take the Name of the LORD thy God in vain... (
don't use God's Name
in a way
that would be un-respectful or without sincere reverence, like saying "O.M.G.",
or using God's holy Name as a swear word, or combined with one,
etc...) |
|
|
IV.
"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it
holy...
Six days
shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the
seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou
shalt not do any work... For in six days the
LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is,
and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the
sabbath day, and hallowed it."
- see Exodus 20:8-11 |
|
|
V.
Honour thy father and thy mother... |
|
VI. Thou shalt
not kill.
"Ye have heard that it was
said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever
shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto
you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause
shall be in danger of the judgment..."
- Matthew 5:21-part of 22 |
|
|
VII.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
"Ye have heard that it was said
by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But
I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust
after her hath committed adultery with her already in his
heart. " -
Matthew 5:27-28 |
|
|
VIII.
Thou shalt not steal.
(
even
stealing just one small item
) |
|
|
IX.
Thou shalt not bear false
witness against thy neighbor.
(
don't tell a lie
) |
|
|
X.
Thou shalt not covet...
(
don't crave something that
belongs to somebody else
) |
|
|
|
THE
ONLY WAY
TO GET TO HEAVEN...
To be saved, a person must believe in their heart, and
acknowledge, that
Jesus Christ is God;
and understand
and accept Jesus Christ's payment
for their sins via His death upon the cross; and
believe
in their heart
that Jesus rose from the
dead.
They are also to confess
their sins to God
(via prayer), and
REPENT
(turn away)
from
sin.
So, all in complete sincerity with
understanding... if a person knows
they are a sinner (broken God's law at least once in
their lifetime); and believes in their
heart and acknowledges
that Jesus Christ is God; and with a heavy heart admits
to Christ that they are a sinner and
confesses their sins to
Jesus Christ via a prayer
to Him;
and asks Him for forgiveness
of their sins; and acknowledges and
accepts Jesus Christ's offer of payment for their sins via
His death upon the cross (which is the
only acceptable sacrifice for payment of a person's
sins); and believes in their
heart that Jesus
Christ rose from the dead (which happened 3 days after
His death upon the cross); all in a prayer to Jesus Christ,
in complete sincerity and understanding; then, according to the
Bible, that person will be saved, right there and then!
A prayer could go something like this...
"Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I
truly believe and acknowledge that you ARE
God. I admit that I am a sinner
(then, right where you are,
confess to Jesus Christ all the sins you can think of
that you committed in your lifetime).
I'm sorry for all of the sins I have committed, please forgive me
of all of my sins, please change my heart and help me to completely repent from
sin, that I don't sin in the future. I accept
your offer to pay for the sins that I have committed,
via your death upon the cross. Thank
you for dying for the payment of my sins, granting me everlasting
life. I also believe and acknowledge that you rose from the
dead. Please have the Holy Spirit dwell in me now
and guide me to do Your will. I give my life to you now
Lord Jesus Christ. I pray this in Your holy Name dear
Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen."
If you've sincerely prayed a prayer
similar to that, and accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior,
then you are saved (aka "born again"). Be sure to get a Bible
(I definitely suggest a King James Version, because it's
the most accurately translated English version) and read it
daily. I would just start reading the book of John, and
the book of Romans - then check out Genesis for a solid
foundation of how and when God created everything - and the book of
Job to see how people are tested in life, and to roll with the
punches while asking God for daily insight, strength, mercy, and
peace. I'm honestly not a big reader, but it's amazing how
especially Romans and John are packed full of useful information for
daily living and understanding the big picture!
NOTE:
God explains everything through
His Word, and it will help us understand really what sin "is"; the magnitude
of sin; why God hates sin; and how we can avoid temptation to sin
...how
can a person repent of something if they don't understand exactly
what all they're repenting of and why?
A saved person
is a new creation,
the Holy Spirit literally
dwells within them right when they become saved, and true Christians' hearts are
changed,
they want to live for God
and not for themselves.
Bells and whistles won't go off right at that moment, but if you
were sincere in the prayer you prayed for salvation through Jesus
Christ, then you will notice, day-by-day, that you will hate even
just the THOUGHT of sin, more and more. You'll feel disgusted
when you hear people take God's name in vain, you'll want to gain
more understanding through reading the Bible, and day-by-day, you'll
increasingly hate the things that God says He hates, and love the
things that God says that He loves. It's something called "the
fruit of the Spirit", you'll be a changed person, and will not only
be eternally grateful for knowing you will not go to hell when you
die, but you will be grateful that you dislike what your former self
was, and you will want to become more Christ-like day-by-day.
You will also see how evil this world has become and how worse it is
getting - but don't compromise, we are to be "in the world", but not
"of the world". By becoming a Christian, contrary to the
"health, wealth, and prosperity" preachers (who, I might add, are
false teachers!), you will not gain financial riches by becoming a
Christian, and you won't suddenly be free from all aches and pains,
etc. - remember that God will allow you to be tested still!
Check out the book of Job! But remember that becoming a
Christian is worth it. Wouldn't be a bad idea to consider
joining a good Bible-believing church too, but joining a church not
required to get into heaven - it's just good to fellowship with
other Christians, and to gain better understanding through the study
of God's Word, and it's good to praise God through worship, but
again, church is not required, just recommended!
Quick side note:
The Bible says that
only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit
will a person understand God's Word...
"But the Comforter, which is
the Holy
Ghost, whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto
you."
- John 14:26
...and that the preaching of the
Gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing. God will
reveal Himself to those who sincerely want to know Him.
(For
some helpful Scriptural references,
see the various sections below; and
most importantly, can't emphasize this enough - see a good solid translation of the Bible ...like
a standard King James Version, or perhaps a Thompson Chain
Reference Study Bible - King James Version, or a Scofield
Reference Bible - King James Version.) |
|
"For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made
the righteousness of God in Him." -
2 Corinthians 5:21
(speaking of Christ's death
upon the cross.)
"And ye know that
He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin.
Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not
seen Him, neither known Him." -
1 John 3:5-6
|
Jesus (God in the flesh) is the
only person who
never sinned, and His
death on the cross was the only acceptable sacrifice by God the
Father (who is the 1st part of the Trinity, the three in
one: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit = God).
"But
the Comforter, which is the Holy
Ghost, whom the Father will send in My Name,
He shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto
you."
- John 14:26 (regarding the
Holy Spirit, which guides those who are truly born again, and have
accepted Christ's sacrifice upon the cross according to His Word.)
The only way to get to
heaven is through accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior,
accepting His gift which was His death upon the cross (which was the only
payment God the Father would accept for substitution of sins) and to
understand the terms in order to truly become born again, born of the
Spirit (where the Holy Spirit will reside in you, and where with
TRUE conversion, your heart will change, and you will want
to serve God. The Holy Spirit will guide in the understanding of
Scripture).
Remember that God created EVERYTHING,
INCLUDING THE RULES!!! God created Heaven and
hell, and life is a test to see what each person will choose - if one
obeys God and accepts Jesus Christ's sacrifice upon the cross, and repents
of their sins, and is truly converted, truly born again, then they will go
to heaven. If they don't, then they will spend eternity in hell.
It
doesn't matter what our heart "feels",
the
ONLY thing that matters is
what
God's terms are!
|
"The heart is
deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"
- Jeremiah 17:9
"There is a way which
seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death"
-
Proverbs 14:12
"Trust
in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding."
- Proverbs 3:5
|
|
- REPENTANCE -
After one accepts Jesus
Christ as their Lord and Savior, if they are truly saved through Christ,
their heart will change, and they will have a repentant heart as result of
true conversion.
"For if we sin wilfully
after that we have received the knowledge of the Truth,
there remaineth
no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of
judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries." -
Hebrews 10:26-27
"So then, those who
are in the flesh cannot please God.
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit,
if indeed the
Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of
Christ, he is not His." -
Romans 8:8-9
"...Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted
out..." -
Acts 3:19
"He that saith, I know Him,
and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the Truth is
not in him.
But whoso keepeth His
Word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we
are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to
walk, even as He walked." -
1 John 2:4-6

A QUICK NOTE:
Fulfilled prophecy has proven
Jesus Christ to be the Messiah.
In his book
"Science Speaks", Peter Stoner
provides evidence that
the odds for one person
to fulfill
just
EIGHT of the prophecies
of the Messiah
that was to come (whom was Christ Jesus!)
would be
1
in
100,000,000,000,000,000!
One of these specific prophecies is
Psalm 22:16...
"For dogs have
compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me:
they pierced my hands and my feet.".
...this
clearly describes the torturous act of
crucifixion,
which was not even
invented until hundreds of years AFTER Psalm 22 was
written!!!
Other
prophecies include the Messiah's
betrayal for 30 pieces of silver, and a
potters field purchased with that money
(prophecy told in
Zechariah 11:12-13, fulfilled in
Matthew 26:14-16, and
Matthew 27:4-10)

REGARDING CONFESSION of
OUR SINS to JESUS CHRIST...
"If
we confess our sins, He
is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness." -
1 John 1-9
(by the way,
nowhere
in the Bible does it say we must confess our sins to a priest,
Jesus
Christ is our ONLY Mediator to God the Father.)
REGARDING TEMPTATION to
SIN...
God wants us to turn away from sin
completely, and He tells us we should daily pray for Him to protect us
from temptation.
"...And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil..."
(from
Matthew 6:13, click
HERE to read this in it's context where Jesus Christ is teaching
how we all should pray).
God TESTS us
(a good example is the Book of
Job), but satan TEMPTS
us to sin.
|
God wants to use us, but satan would
obviously rather that we wouldn't!
God says...
"Wherefore
gird up the loins of your mind, be
sober, and hope to the end for the
grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus
Christ; As obedient
children,
not
fashioning yourselves according to the
former lusts
in your ignorance:" -
1 Peter 1:13-14
God knows it's not easy to repent of sin (and
there are MANY types of sin that God condemns throughout the
Bible, and it's our job to read and understand His Word, so we
find out how God wants us to live)
"Forasmuch then as
Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise
with the same mind: for he that hath
suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
That he no
longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts
of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may
suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we
walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings,
banquetings, and abominable idolatries:" -
1 Peter 4:1-3

The Importance of Becoming
'Born Again'...
'Jesus
answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you,
unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" '
-
John 3-3.
"Jesus
answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you,
unless
one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit."" -
John 3:5
Jesus Christ
says He is
the only way to
eternity in Heaven. That's that! The Bible is
abundantly clear about this.
I believe and
trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is the
only acceptable sacrifice to God for sinners like you and
me, Jesus died to pay the fine (so to speak) of the sin debt of those who
accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Praying to
Jesus Christ, accepting His offer to pay for your sins to God the Father
through Jesus' sacrificial death upon the cross, acknowledging and
believing in your heart that God rose Jesus Christ from the dead, asking
Jesus Christ to guide you with help from the Holy Spirit, and to live
according to His Word and His Will. Praying regularly for guidance,
peace, protection, and help in the repentance of sin, in the Name of Jesus
Christ. And with a repentant heart, turning away from sin once and
for all. If one truly gets saved, their heart changes, they will
know how much God hates sin, they won't want to dishonor God by committing
more sins.
To me,
that is the best description I can think of to truly become "born again",
according to the Bible.
If you haven't already, I hope
you will choose to do the same and accept Christ Jesus as Lord, as your
Savior.
If you
accept Jesus Christ as Savior, the Bible is one of the main ways the Holy
Spirit guides us to understanding the Truth of God's Word, the Bible.
Pray for guidance, and just start reading. The Book of Romans is an
EXCELLENT starting point! As far as "translations" of
the Bible, the most accurate translation to English is the King James
Version (abbreviated "KJV"). Pray to God for the Holy Spirit to
guide you as you read and study the Bible, and watch how vivid,
insightful, and helpful Scripture will become! For me, the more I
studied it, the more insight into God's Will for my life I received, and
it's a blessing I can't put into words.
When
you decide to dig into the Scripture more, to make sure you are
interpreting it correctly, a concordance such as "Strong's Exhaustive
Concordance of the Bible" (for really digging into the text, finding out
what the original Greek and Hebrew words are, and how the same words are
used in other parts of the Bible, so you can really get it all in context.
Important to do because personal opinion of what one reads doesn't matter
at all, correct understanding of what was written is not subjective, it is
"Study to
shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth."
- 2 Timothy 2:15).
Also consider attending a GOOD
Bible-believing church, to grow in the knowledge and un-failing love of
Jesus Christ.
And with your
study, be sure to only believe those who directly quote the Bible, IN
CONTEXT. There are
MANY preachers out there that don't even believe that
Jesus is the only way for salvation,
as the Bible CLEARLY says!!!
I think by perverting God's
Holy Word to create a church's doctrine that "allows" certain
clearly defined sins to become acceptable (with no call to
repentance), fewer people will be offended, and more will
attend their church. But there are only two types of doctrine,
TRUE and FALSE!!! (or "Christian" and
"Anti-Christian")
I see so many churches that avoid
preaching the requirement of repentance of sins, as not to offend and
risk lower church attendance! A lot of motivational speakers out
there, and sadly, fewer and fewer preachers of the Word of God!
I've even been
told by a priest
(from a major
denomination)
that he believes Scripture
can be changed and through God's continuing revelation.
But such a statement is not backed ANYWHERE in the Bible.
God is AGAINST
His Word being modified -
take a look at the last page in
your Bible, particularly Revelation 22:18 and Deuteronomy 4:2...
|
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of
the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God
shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And
if any man shall take away
from the words of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his
part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the
things which are written in this book." -
Revelation 22:18-19
and...
"Ye
shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish
ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your
God which I command you." -
Deuteronomy 4:2 |
So be
careful! There are MANY wolves in sheep's clothing
out there!
|
"For such are
false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into
apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms
himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no
great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into
ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their
works." -
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 |
You can always trust the Word of God! (But
ONLY if you are reading
an accurate translation of the original
manuscripts!), maybe compare this to working on a car with the
wrong instruction manual, or the correct one (there's only
ONE correct
one, there's only ONE real path
to God, because there is only ONE God, who happens to be 3
parts, yet remains ONE ...check out the Bible for the details!).
Mankind does NOT have the right to change
God's Holy Word in ANY
way, but satan wants God's explicit instructions to us to be
manipulated (via the many liberal translations out there, some add and
take away, and/or false preconceptions ), satan is called "the father of
all lies" (see
John 8:44) ...remember what happened in the Garden of Eden... "And
the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth
know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and
ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." -
Genesis 3:4-5.
If you don't already have a concordance, I recommend getting a good up-to-date
one,
such as Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. It makes it easy to check what the original
Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek words meant, and to see the same words in
various contexts throughout the Bible, to better understand God's Word.
It's VERY helpful!!!
The Bible is constantly being proven true. The Bible is 100% accurate regarding science, the Bible
speaks several times about the earth being spherical
(check it out
here and
here), but for a long time,
most believed the earth was flat!
It has been accurate regarding astronomy, biology, all sciences!
Well then, how do we know that some publisher didn't change
God's Holy Word during
translation from or in a publisher's "creating"
a new "version" ???
Clearly some people with twisted
agendas have twisted God's Word, so obviously
there
ARE
some
very inaccurate "versions" of the Bible out there.
The
Bible's original content has NEVER changed,
the King James Bible
has been proven to be is very accurate to the many
original
manuscripts found over the last several thousand years.
Dr. Jewell Smith has done a lot of research on this, and I
believe there are several videos he has done where he goes
through the history of Biblical manuscripts. I highly
suggest looking into his research.
And again,
a good concordance
will help you understand God's Word better, by being able to
look up the words it's original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek - and
to see where else in Scripture the same words are used.
By the way, there are more than
20,000 known ORIGINAL manuscripts, that date from as early as
the second century A.D.! MANY times more than any other
book EVER! For
more information about the Bible's authenticity, please click
HERE.
Remember though, if a person
studies most accurate translation of the Bible, 24/7, for their
entire lifetime; and has doctorate after doctorate, and
claims
to be an expert in biblical hermeneutics, apologetics,
eschatology, you name it; they could very well have
everything totally wrong, and could (un-willingly, or on
purpose) be teaching completely false
doctrine. The only
way ANY person will understand God's Word is if
the Holy Spirit reveals understanding of
Scripture to him or her...
"But
the Comforter, which is the Holy
Ghost, whom the Father will send in My Name,
He shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto
you."
- John 14:26
So if a person is not born again
(born of the Spirit), then they won't "get it", no matter how
much study, no matter how many doctorates, no matter how big a
big wig they may appear to be.
'Jesus
answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you,
unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" '
-
John 3-3.
"Jesus
answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you,
unless
one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit."" -
John 3:5
Maybe check to see if your
pastor lives a life led by the spirit, via their daily walk,
having the fruits of the Spirit.
"This is a true
saying, if a man desire the office of a
bishop, he desireth a good work. A
bishop then must be
blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good
behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to
wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a
brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house,
having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a
man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care
of the church of God?) Not a novice, lest being lifted up
with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without;
lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil." -
1 Timothy 3:1-7
(Note: The
Greek word for bishop (highlighted in the first sentence above) is
episkopē,
which translates as "superintendence" and "the
office of a "bishop", bishoprick, visitation.". The Greek
word for bishop in 1 Timothy 3:2 (highlighted in the second
sentence above) is episkopos "a superintendent,
i.e. Christian officer in general charge of a (or the) church
(literally or figuratively): - bishop, overseer."
(translation
information quoted from "Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible:
Updated Edition"
© 2007 Hendrickson Publishers, Inc.)
I'm not saying a person can just
say that because they're born again, that this alone does it!
It doesn't, we need to study God's Word, not just learn by
osmosis. The great thing though, is that those who are
truly born again are the only ones who WILL understand God's
Word! So we all need to 1. Accept Christ as Savior (being
born again), and 2. Study God's Word and obey it... "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth."
- 2 Timothy 2:15)

Regarding Science - One
good resource to study within the Bible:
The Book of Job... from back
in the Old Testament, WRITTEN THOUSANDS OF
YEARS AGO, God goes down a list of many scientific facts,
such as the fact there are springs of water inside the earth (Job
38:16), that there are springs of
water in the sea (Job
38:8), that
inside the
earth is fire (Job
28:5), water in clouds (Job
38:9 and
Job 38.34),
that light can be diffused (Job 38:24).
...and there's much, much more! A
lot of these facts are repeated in several areas of
The Book of Job! I would just open up The Book of Job
and start reading, you'll find
scientific TRUTH!!!
(By the way,
for those who ask how God could
allow suffering to occur,
the Book of Job is very helpful in
explaining this.
We are all tested by transgression, by a thorn in the flesh, by
something that humbles us, because when we are humbled, we tend to listen more carefully to Him!)
How
about Creation of the Earth?
Some pastors preach that the Bible
"never really meant" literal days! Well, here's some PROOF
that the Bible is, in fact, 100% CORRECT, regarding "Literal
Single Days" in Genesis...
...the
word "yôm" is used in Genesis
Genesis 1:5, yôm literally translates to the word 'Day'
(in context, it's used in Genesis 1-11 to
describe evening and morning as a literal day)
meaning our literal 24 hour "day".
Hebrew
words that mean something other than 'literal day'
include: "dor" (a revolution of time), "moed"
(a season of time), "shana" (a year), among other
Hebrew words for time. Click HERE
for more information on this!
I
believe 100% that God created the Heavens and the earth and all
that's in it, in 6 literal days and rested on the 7th
day.
|
..."Then God saw
everything that He had made, and indeed
it was very good. So the
evening and the morning were the sixth day."
(Genesis 1:31).
"And on
the seventh day
God ended His work which He
had done and
He rested..."
(Genesis 2:2).

Some More Creation v.s. Evolution Stuff...
Regarding
evolution - there's now proof that layers of sedimentary rock
was not formed vertically, but horizontally. That some
fossils found in lower layers can actually be
YOUNGER than some
fossils found layers ABOVE them!!! There was a global
flood (read Genesis, particularly Genesis 6).
"Layers" cannot determine the age of anything!
for info on stratigraphy.
Could birds evolve from
dinosaurs??? What about the notion of lizards
scales evolving into feathers? It's impossible!!!
Feathers are similar to hairs "follicle-wise", individually
rooted; but scales are all part of one skin!
Here is a website that compares the two.
Did humans evolve from some
form of primate? No. Evolution is
somply not true, but don't just take my word for it,
research "Nebraska
man", well,
Nebraska man ended up just being a single tooth
from a pig!, or how about "Piltdown
man"??? it was another lie:
Piltdown man was
a combination of a human skull
and an orangutan jawbone with the teeth filed down -
but there's no
way fossils could ever prove evolution.
One would need to see
the remains of the generation before AND after, to determine any
changes! There "are" bones of humans who
were very old, and very arthritic, and facial bones continue to grow as one continues
to age. The Bible says the typical
human life-span was
around 900 years back in Adam's and Noah's days,
the genealogy
proves it (click
HERE for info). The religion of evolution makes human life
appear
to be much less special, when people are considered 'evolved
animals' rather than wonderfully created and designed in the
Image of God Himself! And Christians can't have it both
ways, they either believe the Word of God or they don't.
God is crystal clear that He designed us, and created Adam (as
well as Eve, as mentioned later on in Genesis) on the sixth day.
And the word "yôm" was used for "day", so translated correctly
and used in the particular context used in Genesis ("Then
God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very
good. So
the evening and the morning were the sixth day."
(Genesis 1:31).,
it was a standard 24 hour time period. No raining on hot
rocks, then slime, then fish, then frogs, then rats, then
monkeys, then "Adam".
God made Adam from the dust of the
ground, and science now proves that all of the elements found in
humans are also found in dirt. Dust we were made
from, and to dust our earthly bodies will return to after death.
The "theory" of
evolution is INSULTING to God, who created
us in His Image!
Yet many liberal theologians take it
upon
themselves to twist and pervert the Holy Word of God,
in order
to fit whatever agendas they have in mind.
Example: somebody
says the earth wasn't 'completely flooded' during the great
flood in Noah's time (click
HERE for info on this), so then
they
are saying God isn't sovereign! Saying God's Word is not
True. They are calling God a liar!
In fact, Jesus Christ says
(speaking of His return)...
"But
as the
days of Noah
were, so shall also the coming of the
Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the
flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in
marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
And knew not until
the flood came and took them all away; so shall also
the coming of the Son of man be." -
Matthew 24:37-39
"Knowing
this first,
that
there shall come
in
the last days
scoffers,
walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the
promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep,
all things continue as they were from the beginning of the
creation. For this
they willingly are
ignorant of, that
by the
Word
of God
the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the
water and in the water:
Whereby
the world
that then was, being
overflowed
with water,
perished:
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the
same
Word
are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the
day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."
-
2 Peter 3:7
"...when once the longsuffering of
God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing,
wherein a few, that is,
eight souls were
saved by water."
-
1 Peter 3:20
That was obviously referring to
the global flood mentioned in greater detail Genesis...
"And the flood was forty days upon
the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it
was lift up above the earth. And the waters prevailed, and
were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the
face of the waters. And the waters prevailed exceedingly
upon the earth; and
all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven,
were covered.
Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains
were covered.
And all
flesh died that moved upon the earth,
both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping
thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: All in whose
nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry
land, died. And
every living substance was destroyed which was upon
the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping
things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed
from the earth:
and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in
the ark,. And the waters prevailed upon the
earth an hundred and fifty days. And God remembered Noah,
and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in
the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the
waters asswaged; The fountains also of the deep and the
windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was
restrained; And the waters returned from off the earth
continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty
days the waters were abated. And the ark rested in the
seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the
mountains of Ararat.
And the waters decreased
continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on
the first day of the month,
were the tops of the
mountains seen. ..." -
Genesis 7:17-24, and
8:1-5
NO WAY
it could POSSIBLY be a "localized flood".
Sadly, many false teachers of God's Word seem to "spin" it to
make such a theory seem valid.
So if it were JUST a
"local flood",
HOW
could ALL the high hills and ALL the
mountains be covered? And what then would have caused the
death of all flesh that moved upon the earth during the
flood, IF
it were "localized"???
If the flood was
"localized",
then explain how
fossils of "closed" clams (when clams die, their
shells open up - a way to tell which clams are ok to eat or not!
So it would be impossible for this without a rapid burial in
sediment) are found all over the earth,
even on the top of
mountains such as
Everest!?!?
Also, check out the Institute for
Creation
Research's articles regarding radioisotopes, more
evidence for a young earth!
More evidence that goes against
the theory of "millions of years" of evolution... There's
actually been a fossil of a person's shoe squishing a
trilobite (but how can that be, evolutionists say trilobites
are 600 MILLION years old!)! Check out these links:

HERE
is another great link to fossil evidence (human footprints with
dinosaur prints, an iron cup embedded completely in coal,
etc.). And there's been proof of the age of ica stones
(by analyzing the natural patina where the images have
been carved, of the few authentic ones). Click

For the
CORRECT Answers:
READ GOD'S
WORD - NOT
MAN'S WORD!!!
If somebody believes we came from
apes, then they are saying
that they don't believe God, that they don't believe
God created the first man,
Adam, out of the dust of
the Earth, created in God's image, and that
God breathed life into Adam, (Genesis
2:7)
, (and for the general run-down of when
everything was Created by God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit),
click
HERE).
There CANNOT be death before sin, God's Word is
specific about this, that there was no
death until after Adam & Eve's fall into sin after giving
into temptation in the Garden of Eden. The only things
that died before that were plants, given for Adam & Eve to
eat!!! (Genesis
1:29). But no death came upon
animals (which the Bible says animals also have the
breath of life
Genesis 7:15)
until AFTER Adam
and Eve sinned the very first time.

Regarding "The Last Days"
and False Doctrine...
The
Bible says in
the last days, there
will be "many
false gods" and
"false
prophets",
"Then many
false prophets will rise up and deceive many".
- Matthew 24:11
If
what you hear by a preacher, or what you read
contradicts the Bible
(or
misconstrues, or takes scripture out of context, which satan LOVES to do
to mess things up
for us! - just as satan quoted the Bible, out of context, in
ways to try to test Jesus in the desert, and to try
to get Jesus to bow down to him)
then it's definitely
NOT
the Word of Jesus Christ.
|
"Beloved,
believe not every
spirit,
but
try
the spirits whether they are of God:
because
many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Hereby
know ye the Spirit of God:
Every spirit that confesseth that
Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh is
of God:
And every spirit
that confesseth not
that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh
is not of God:
and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have
heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the
world." -
1 John 4
:1-3 |
Regarding the intentions of some pastors,
be skeptical
of everybody,
especially
to those who take the easy way out and just 'paraphrase' when talking about the Words of
the Bible, or add/subtract from the Word (which is FALSE
DOCTRINE! One instance, regarding The Book of
Revelation in particular, read:
Revelation 22:18-19.).
Some often
misconstrue!
"Beware
of false prophets,
who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. "You will know them by their
fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from
thistles?" "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but
a bad tree bears bad fruit."
-
Matthew 7:15-20
Paraphrasing
the Bible is
VERY DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!
The TRUTH can
ONLY be found in the Word of God, through an
ACCURATE translation of the
Holy Bible! (such as King James,
New King James, etc.). Paraphrasing is watering down the
Word of God, you can't trust it. If they give you the
scriptural verse(s) after quoting something from the Bible,
then
you can TEST what they just said, to make sure...
1.) that they're not
distorting the Word of God,
2.) and that they're not just taking the easy way out.
I
would question the intentions
of those who frequently paraphrase
w/o providing EXACTLY
where what they just quoted is located in the Holy Bible! And
make sure they're not quoting an inaccurate translation of the
Bible!
"Test
all
things,
hold fast to that which is good."
-
1 Thessalonians 5:21
Eternal
salvation through Jesus Christ is THE
MOST IMPORTANT THING, and when studying God's Word,
just "paraphrasing" God's Holy Word is NOT an option!
If learning God's Word through a person who delivers Biblical
scripture out of context is commonplace (during their prepared
sermons & Bible study) I personally would not attend that church
and/or Bible study anymore! Who would want to believe
anything that was taken out of context in any other field?
So why would I, regarding obtaining Biblical insight and
knowledge, trust learning the Word of God to a preacher who
doesn't feel the need to give the context of Biblical quoting of
scripture???
What
About that "Prosperity
Gospel" and "Name It and Claim It"
Preaching?
I see A
LOT of a particular form of televangelists that will
say you need to give them your money in order to
receive:
financial blessings,
restored relationships,
spiritual revelations,
healings of illness, etc.
These
folks try to get most of their money from those who
are experiencing
bad health, bad
finances,
bad relationships, etc. (trials and tests
which God calls
LONGSUFFERING,
which is actually God's mercy, His chastening those He
loves! Check out the Book of Job for a great example
of tests and how/why God allowed them!).
Sadly,
many preachers use
selective Scripture (such
as
Luke 21)
to encourage parishioners
to give them often
much more than the standard 10% tithe, by
saying that the amount of your "first fruits
offering" sewn into their
ministry (paying for their Rolls Royce, private
jet, motorcycle collection, etc.) will determine the
parishioners' amount of financial gain for the entire
year! They'll say 2008 is the year of perfection
(basically saying "bet everything on 8!"), even saying
2007 was a horrible year (and throughout 2007 saying God
told them 2007 was the year of perfection and overflow,
etc.).
But
that's taking advantage of the poor, the downhearted, the
widowed, the sick, etc. by twisting God's Word
for their financial gain!
"Beware of
the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love
greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the
synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts; Which devour
widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall
receive greater damnation." -
Luke 20:46-47
Scripture
continues on in the next chapter... "And he looked up, and saw
the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a
certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he
said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast
in more than they all:"
-
Luke 21:1-3
But
what does the Word of God say about riches, etc.?...
"Every
word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put
their trust in Him. Add thou not unto His words, lest He
reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Two things
have I required of the; deny me them not before I die:
Remove far from
me vanity and lies:
give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with
food convenient for me Lest I be full,
and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor,
and steal, and take the name of my God in vain." -
Proverbs 30:5-9
"Lay
not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where
moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break
through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where
thieves do not break through nor steal:"
- Matthew 6:19-20
"...Now when
Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one
thing:
sell all that
thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou
shalt have treasure
in heaven: and come, follow me.
And when he heard this,
he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. And
when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they
that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!" -
Luke 18:22-24
"A double minded
man is unstable in all his ways. Let the brother of low
degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he
is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall
pass away." -
James 1:8-10
But
they say whatever you ask for you will receive.
That you can "speak" things into existence, such as more
money in your billfold, or "speak" that a storm doesn't
reach your home. Then they ask you for your "special
first fruits offering" of course!
-
Again, what does Scripture
say? -
'
"Now
this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask
anything according to His will, He hears us."'
- 1 John 5:14
"Be careful for nothing; but in
every thing by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known unto God. And the
peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep
your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
-
Philippians 4:6-8
God ONLY
gives according to His Will.
Some preachers forget to mention that, and want to believe
if we donate "X" amount of dollars, we can ask God for a
new Ferrari and just expect it to happen. Only God's
Will will be done, not ours, PERIOD.

Some unusual doctrine
that concerned me...
There is
obviously some dangerous un-biblical doctrine floating
around today, but false doctrine has been around for a
very long time (even before Adam and Eve's sin account
mentioned in Genesis), an example of some seriously false
doctrine by satan as satan makes such an arrogant and
completely false proclamation, as recorded in
Isaiah 14:12-15...
"How
art thou fallen from heaven, O lucifer, son of the
morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst
weakn the nations!
For thou hast said
in thine
heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne
above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of
the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend
above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most
High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell,
to the sides of the pit." -
Isaiah 14:12-15
One
religious organization believes in something they call "transubstantiation"
(they believe that the wafer and wine that they eat at
their services literally are transformed into Jesus
Christ's flesh and blood). But the Bible
says quite different...
"By the which will we are sanctified through the offering
of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And
every priest standeth daily ministering and offering
oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away
sins: But this Man, after He had offered one
sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of
God; From henceforth expecting till His enemies be
made His footstool. For by one offering He
hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." -
Hebrews 11:10-14
(Note:
the term "Man", in context with the rest of Scripture,
refers to Jesus Christ as He was living on earth in human
form, and prior to Jesus coming to earth, He was the Word,
as mentioned in several places, such as John 1:1-3
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning
with God. All things were made by Him; and without
Him was not any thing made that was made." and later
in John 1:14... "And the Word was made
flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth.")
Confessing sins to a priest to have the priest forgive
them, that's not biblical either! The Bible says we
are to confess our faults to one another, but nowhere does
it say we are forgiven by anyone other than God Himself!
Biblical baptism is when a person accepts Jesus
Christ's sacrifice upon the cross as the only acceptable
payment (aka "propitiation") for their former sins
(propitiation mentioned various places, one being in 1
John 2:2). The water part of it is only an outward symbolic event that
represents a person's acceptance of Jesus Christ as their
Lord and Savior ...accepting Jesus Christ's offer for
payment of that individual person's sins, which nobody can
do for them! A person can't make that decision to
accept Jesus Christ as their Savior unless they understand
what it's about! So
an infant is
incapable of making his or her own decision to accept
Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior..
Praying to the Saints... we are NOT to
do so, that is called necromancy (communicating
with the dead, which is not allowed), we pray
DIRECTLY TO GOD. Scripture says...
"There
shall not be found among you any one that maketh his
son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or
that useth divination, or an observer of times, or
an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a
consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard,
or a
necromancer.
For all that do these things
are an
abomination unto the LORD: and because of
these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them
out from before thee. -
Deuteronomy 18:10-12
(Also note: "For there are three that bear record in
Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:
and these three are one.")
|
It's
important to check EVERYTHING against
Scripture (the 66 books of the
Bible). If it contradicts Scripture
(in the context of the Bible),
then it's false
doctrine! Let God's Word provide
answers as to what is true and what is false. False
doctrine can mean false converts, and since
our eternity is on the line, it's VITAL to get
it right!!! Don't trust anybody,
compare, do the homework, and
trust in God's
Word as the final authority. |

There's a lot of
un-biblical teaching going on
within many
churches that profess to be preachers
of the Word of God
(including most of those televangelists out
there - an easy sign to look for is their love
for "wealth") within many
denominations.
It's
important to
"Test
all
things,
hold fast to that which is good." -
1 Thessalonians 5:21
So how
can a person know if they're being told the
truth, or being preached a
counterfeit
Christianity? (Both
reading and objectively studying the Bible are
invaluable when discerning truth from error,
and will allow you to defend your faith and
witness to others!)
A church's
statement of faith
(a brief rundown of
their key doctrine)
is usually a good
starting point, but a lot of
churches provide a very watered-down,
"non-offensive" and "all-inclusive" statement
of faith, because a key doctrine in many
churches is the doctrine of compromise over
biblical truth - they say "unity above
doctrine" (They don't want to offend,
therefore causing their attendance numbers to
drop, so they won't preach about what the
Bible says sin is, they'll avoid the stuff
that's controversial, at the expense of the
truth! And some will even go as far as
adding fear, saying if you don't attend
regularly, you will go to hell; or if you
don't give the preacher beyond a biblical 10%
tithe, then you won't be blessed, even if you
don't have the money to physically give!).
I've found out a lot of churches are lying
through their teeth in their doctrinal
statements! Here's an example...
One
denomination, an evangelical one actually
(I definitely consider myself to be an
evangelical Christian),
when I went through their statement of faith
(off of their website),
it seemed biblical!
►
They said they believe the Bible is the
inerrant (without error) Word of God.
(WHICH IS 100%
TRUE!)
►
They said they believe baptism is
baptism of the Holy Spirit - when the Holy
Spirit enters a person after the individual
has accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior (and
that the water part
is just an outward symbolic gesture
of a person becoming born again).
(WHICH IS 100% TRUE!)
►
I got to their statement about abortion,
they said their church believes life begins
at conception... (WHICH
IS 100% TRUE!)
...but in their last
sentence, they said they believe
abortion is allowable if both
the child's life and
the mother's life are in danger.
...huh???????
So I kinda
scratched my head and thought...IF
the situation was where the
child's
life is in danger,
then
why would they want
to kill the child???
They worded
it so carefully as not to
offend, but by saying what they did, they
clearly meant "their denomination"
believes that the mother's life is
more valuable than her
child's life, and that they
believe the child should be killed if the
mother's life is in danger. Remember,
that church also said that they believe life
begins at conception (which it does!).
The Bible clearly says
"Thou
shalt not kill".
God create man
in His image. God is against the
shedding of innocent blood. God does
not want His Word changed at all,
ANYWHERE in the Bible, God is
perfect, His Word is perfect...
"All
Scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: That
the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly
furnished unto all good works." - 2 Timothy
3:16-17
Here are a few
quotes from the Bible regarding God's view of
children and life...
"Thus
saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and
he that formed
thee from the womb, I am
the LORD that maketh all
things; that
stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that
spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;" -
Isaiah 44:24
"Thus saith the LORD
that made
thee,
and formed
thee from the womb, which will help
thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou,
Jesurun, whom I have chosen." - Isaiah 44:2
"Take heed that ye despise not one of these
little ones; for I say unto you, That in
heaven their angels do always behold the face
of my Father which is in heaven. - Matthew
18:10
"For
thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me
in my mother's womb. I will praise
thee; for I am
fearfully and
wonderfully made: marvellous are thy
works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was
made in secret, and curiously wrought in the
lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes
did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and
in thy book all my members were written, which
in continuance were fashioned, when as
yet there was none of them." - Psalm
139:13-16 (there are more Scriptural
quotes
HERE)
There's a
lot
of un-biblical stuff out there,
from many
different denominations!
Life on earth is short
compared to
eternity,
and
believing false
doctrine can mean
false conversion.
Only
the 66 books
of the Bible,
in an
accurate
translation,
will provide a person with the information
that God has chosen to give us, with which we
are instructed by Him how to be saved.
"I marvel that
ye are so soon removed from him that called
you into the grace of Christ unto another
gospel: Which is not another;
but there be some that
trouble you, and would pervert the
gospel of Christ. But though we, or
an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel
unto you than that which we have preached unto
you, let him be
accursed. As we said before,
so say I now
again, if
any man preach any other gospel unto you
than that ye have received, let him be
accursed. For do I now persuade men,
or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I
yet pleased men, I should not be the servant
of Christ. But I certify you, brethren,
that the gospel which was preached of me is
not after man. For I neither received it
of man, neither was I taught it, but by the
revelation of Jesus Christ."
- Galatians 1:6-12
"For
the time
will come
when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after
their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears; And they shall
turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be
turned unto fables."
- 2 Timothy 4:3-4
"Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Be not carried
about with divers and strange doctrines. ..." -
Hebrews 13:8-9-
Hebrews 13:8-9
I'm not compiling this for myself, I've done
this page to hopefully help out the un-saved
who run across my website. Eternity is
forever, I want to help direct the un-saved to
the one TRUE God, the Lord Jesus Christ (the
Jesus Christ of the Bible! whom is fully
God and fully man, whom is one with God the
Father and God the Holy Spirit), and to warn
that there's so much false doctrine out there,
and many will believe it. I can't
emphasize enough how important it is to get
the most accurate translation you can of the
Bible's original manuscripts, and to read it,
and accept Jesus Christ's payment for your
sins, that you may accept Christ and have
eternal life, and it's so important that you
too carefully check it (the Bible) out!
Another thing - one of the worst things a
person can do is to do nothing.
Don't think you can get saved tomorrow,
because tomorrow is not guaranteed for
anybody!
A person's good works won't get them into
heaven.
Weighing your good deeds with your bad won't
matter.
"For whosoever shall keep the whole law,
and yet offend
in
one
point, he is
guilty of all."
- James 2:10 |

Sin, Death, Salvation...
A person's free will decision
to
accept
Jesus Christ's
free gift of
everlasting life through accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior,
and asking Jesus Christ for His forgiveness of our sins is
what we are told by God's Word regarding forgiveness of
sins, so without one's accepting Jesus Christ as their
Lord and Savior, there is no forgiveness of sins.
Only through faith in Christ,
repentance
of our sins, and our asking for Jesus Christ's
forgiveness
of our sins, can there be forgiveness of sins!
"For by grace
are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of
works, lest any man should boast." -
Ephesians 2:8-9
"For
the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord." -
Romans 6:23
..."let it
be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel,
that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him
this man stands here before you whole. This is the
‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has
become the chief cornerstone.’
Nor is there
salvation in any other,
for there is no other name under heaven given among men by
which we must be saved.” -
Acts 4:10-12
"...that if you
confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from
the dead, you will be saved." -
Romans 10:9
"Repent therefore
and be converted, that your
sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing
may come from the presence of the Lord" -
Acts 3:19
"For God so
loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son
into the world to condemn the world, but that the world
through Him might be saved.
“He who believes
in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is
condemned already, because he has not believed in the name
of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the
condemnation, that the light has come into the world,
and
men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds
were evil.
For everyone practicing evil hates
the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds
should be exposed." -
John 3:16-20

We are
living in the last days...
The Bible
mentions signs one's living
in the last days
are like
birth pains... The
Bible mentions great
natural disasters, wars and rumors of wars...
"And
ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all
these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise
against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and
pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places." -
Matthew 24:6-7.
The last days will be like the days of Noah,
nobody believed there would be a flood that would kill everybody and every
living animal that was not on the arc. - the arc's door was shut, no
second chance, no rewind button... the Rapture happens when it
happens!
|
' "But of
that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father
only.
But as the days of Noah were,
so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
For as in the days before
the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until
the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and
took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." '
- Matthew 24:36

Are these signs of the development of the revived

We all are being TESTED
- that's why we're here...
"...though now for a little
while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,
that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than
gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found
to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
whom having not seen you love." -
part of
1 Peter 1:6-8
Through the
tests God allows us to go through, God tests us to see what decisions we
make by our own free will. This all determines where we spend
eternity - if one obeys God's Word, or denies Him - in a nut shell,
that's what testing will show.
...check
out the Book of
Job just for a minute. It explains God's Testing of Job.

So,
regarding myself, my music, etc., what am I
all about? Why am I here?
I'm here to be tested by
God (as we all
are), and to praise the
Name of Jesus Christ to the best of my ability in the work I do, to
share my faith in Christ Jesus, and to show some proof to those who are
looking for the Truth - that Jesus Christ
IS Lord. I hope you take some of the information on this
page and use it as a launch pad for your own research. The Truth
is out there, and His name is Jesus Christ!
I hope you take note
that I have absolutely ZERO skill in ANYTHING whatsoever, apart from the gifts that Jesus Christ has given
me. So if you like my music, books, designs, etc., it's
only my attempting to use these gifts given to me to the best of my
ability. As we all should do with each gift given to us by
God.

Wishing You the Peace
and Eternal Salvation & Security that is available ONLY through Christ Jesus!
Romans 1:16
|
|
|
"Neither is
there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given
among men, whereby we must be saved."
-
Acts 4:12
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." -
Romans 6:23
"Jesus
answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My Words: and my
Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him.
He that loveth Me not keepeth not My Sayings: and the Word which ye hear is not
Mine, but the Father's which sent Me. These things have I spoken unto you,
being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in My Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring
all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I
leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." -
John 14:23-27

Briefly, a PLEA to fellow musicians and
listeners...

It does NOT mean "Rock on!"
Finally, the December '04 Cancer Stuff...
- just wanted to
mention, in case anybody's going through a difficult time, and might want
to know a bit more about how God has used tribulation to bring very good
things! I guess it might be similar to cutting back certain types of
plants and flowers (perennials) a certain way, at the end of a season, so
the plants/flowers would flourish in the spring?
Ok, well, I found out in
December 2004 that I had cancer. It was an experience, three surgeries
within eight days, and lots of tests for a couple of years after. It was
definitely a "thorn in the flesh" sort of thing. It took me a little while
to understand why I had to go through this. None of it was because God is
bad (He is GOOD!!!), rather, it was a test for me, allowed by God, and
guided by God (God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit).
One thing I did (as result of experiencing God's grace, mercy, and
guidance) was to turn to His Word, the Bible, to get to know Him better
(aside from prayer), via the instructions He has given us in it. One
section that helped put things in better perspective was the book of Job.
Job was an example God uses to show us that He is going to test us at some
point, and the results of the test are eternal.
As far as what all happened
cancer-wise... well, doctors removed close to a baseball-size circle (in
the stitched area shown below) that went down to my collarbone, taking a
thin layer from it to make sure the tumor (a rare form of skin cancer)
didn't spread to bone. They put gauze on that open area, since it
was cancer, they wanted to remove any new cell growth, so the blood would
clot on the gauze, and it was very painful having that changed every day
until the 8th day when they stitched me back up. The pain
medications didn't work, so the doctor had me on a double dose of
Ibuprofen instead, which helped a bit. I was told that all depending
on how much (and where) they cut, there was a chance the left side of my
neck or face may lose some feeling and become numb, but thank Christ that
it was His will that my neck or face would not have any nerve damage from
the surgeries. The area directly "worked on" does remain slightly
numb, but it's a good "thorn in the flesh", a reminder of God's grace and
guidance towards the doctors and obviously towards myself!!!
Other than the scar lines
(which has now faded in for the most part), I'm 100% fixed up in that area
- even use a regular saxophone neckstrap! :) God was with me, He got
me through it! I wasn't delusional, it wasn't "the medications",
because I was only on Ibuprofen for pain! But God regulated it all
so well, gave me the exact amount of courage as needed, regulated that
with certain times of extreme pain (the changing of the gauze, the
drainage tube from after being stitched up, etc.), I recall telling my
folks and doctors (in all sincerity) that I could get through something
like that once a year. There were times where it was very
reflective, put life in perspective, and just seeing God work, in such a
clear fashion, that there was no way it couldn't have been God's
intervention of His mercy, guidance, a degree of bravery (I guess) that
functioned only from a particular mindset that rolled with the punches,
and somehow kept focus - VERY difficult to explain! It was the Holy
Spirit that shifted my mindset through several either very painful, or
very stressful, (or both) occasions. My Lord Jesus Christ, through
the Holy Spirit, got me through it.
"I can do all things through Christ
which strengtheneth me." -
Philippians 4:13
The end result was my
growing closer to God (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy
Spirit), and the Holy Spirit essentially guiding my faith and
understanding of God's Word in a snowballing manner. The more
understanding of His Word the Holy Spirit allowed me, the stronger my
faith became, in which the Holy Spirit would guide me to further
understanding of certain passages of the Bible, and so on.
So this
has been a very good thing!!!
"And we know that all things work together for
good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to
his purpose." -
Romans 8:28
This was definitely a test for me,
I never experienced anything like it - but God's grace and comfort
really did get me through it! There was a reason for all of
this, and that reason was to seek
God! |
